SUE GILES - JAZZ VOCAL ARTIST: LINKS

MY SISTER NANCY GILES - please visit her website

"She takes the winter and makes it summer, but summer can take some lessons from her..." - Frank Sinatra

We shared a set of parents, and a bedroom for many years.  Yes, we had foot fights and played vicious rounds of double solitaire.  Yes, I idolized her (and still do).  Yes, she once had me sign a contract to turn off the lights in our bedroom every night (well after midnight) for the rest of my life, and she held me to that until she left for Oberlin College.  And I love her with all of my heart.

If you have never heard of my sister Nancy before, or seen her dead-on political commentary on any of the major networks, or seen her motion picture performances, television series or network sitcom performances, OR her live stand-up comedy, you ABSOLUTELY MUST click this link.

ART HIRAHARA - Pianist

ART is part of my virtual dream trio; he is NUMBER ONE on my pianist wish-list.

He is the FIRST person I call whenever I get a gig, regardless of whether he can join.  THANK YOU for being you, Art - there is no other musician in the world like you.

CIE STROUD

CIE's photography has appeared EVERYWHERE - her website is fabulous.  She shot the performance photo of me in 2008 that appears as a beautiful artist rendering on the rear cover of my CD, "TRAV'LIN".

GRASSO'S RESTAURANT - COLD SPRING HARBOR

I have been singing here since summer 2004 - this is simply the BEST trattoria/italian restaurant in Cold Spring Harbor and a haven for jazz musicians and formerly the Cold Spring Harbor Arts Center.  This is also one of the venues where I started to "scat the menu"

Thanks and much love to Gail, Mary, Janet, and my dear friend bassist Noriko Ueda (who referred me Grass's, and to the amazing Ernie Byrd!) :)

TRUMPETS JAZZ CLUB - MONTCLAIR, NJ

I love this place!  One of the best jazz rooms in northern New Jersey, hands down!

Thanks to Enrico for picking my CD out of a whole lot of submissions!!
